My final Monthly Charity for 2010 will be the Share Our Strength organization’s No Kid Hungry campaign fighting Childhood hunger in America.
We’ve made a commitment to end childhood hunger in America by 2015, and lots of people are helping us in lots of different ways…” – http://nokidhungr.org/what-we’re-doing What We’re Doing
They have a hefty task ahead but with a growing army of supporters, childhood hunger maybe a problem of the past. They’re also doing it in a health conscience way emphasizing nutrition and healthy eating. Again children are our future and supporting the No Kid Hungry campaign will help build a brighter and healthier future for all.
Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign operates on four key fronts:
- Creating public-private partnerships at the state level to break down barriers that prevent kids from accessing the food they need.
- Feeding hungry kids where they live, learn, and play. In 2009, thanks to a lot of team work, we helped provide 4.5 million more meals to needy children.
- Educating children and families about nutrition and healthy eating. Through Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters™, we have reached nearly 60,000 families, spreading knowledge on how to budget for groceries and cook great tasting and nutritious foods.
- Building awareness of the childhood hunger crisis and a drive for change among all Americans. Using as many channels as possible we are making No Kid Hungry a shared national priority.

Great little video explaining the life cycle of electronics. It was produced by Free Range Studios a creative company making important social messages heard. They also produced other Story Of Stuff videos including the story of Bottled Water, Cap & Trade and Cosmetics. (Original story via Yahoo! Green)

Loads and Loads of Packages
The big holiday weekend has come and gone and it was another record breaker for us at Pure Adapt. Check out the stack of packages we shipped out on Cyber Monday.

This big holiday weekend all started back in August with our holiday marketing preparation and our kick off to holiday specials in
November. We were proactive this year and took advantage of some down time in the fall to plan out everything from inventory, marketing, work hours, etc. to result in a very successful and less stressful holiday weekend. Having a few holiday seasons under our belt, our experience and constant improvements on efficiency let us whoop some candy ass this Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend.
Execution, execution, execution, it’s all about execution right now as we near the final stretch with shipping deadlines looming. A few more sales and a focus on free shipping is how we’ll finish off the holiday season. Again experience has helped us plan everything out and it’s made this holiday season go swimmingly so far.
